My first Bastille Day overseas!
Tonight, I had at my first Bastille Day party in South Africa. As single, cause my husband currently is having a trek in the Kruger Park with friends, will be back on tomorrow afternoon, yeaaah!!
That was cool cold to welcome all guests at entrance and check their invitation;
Interesting to listen speeches of the French Consul of Johannesburg and French Ambassador;
So amazing to hear french and south african hymns by a very good singer;
but more impressive to hear all guests voices with her; what a solemn moment ! much better than at a soccer game!
South African hymn
Yummy to eat cheese, rillettes and pâté;
Disappointing to not have any winning ticket at the raffle (first prize was an all-inclusive stay in Mauritius for 2 persons offered by Le Club Med; otherwise I would only enjoyed the Clarins or Bensimon prize!);
Tired by a headache and no friends at the party, I went back to home at 10:30pm but the party's going on!
Just let me say the icing on the cake* was some of VIP guests at the party : parents of Princesse Charlene de Monaco. Waouh!!
And news from the Lesotho Consul : snow is in Maseru!
